Creating an Invoice
Invoices are sent to customers to request payment. They require a Pro tier subscription.
On the web app:
Click Invoices in the sidebar
Click Create New in the top-right
Select a Customer from the dropdown
Enter a Title for the invoice
Add Line Items — each with a description, quantity, and unit price
Select Payment Terms — options include Due on Receipt, Net 7, Net 15, Net 30, or Net 60. The default is Net 30 (configurable in your Account settings)
The Due Date is automatically calculated based on your payment terms, but you can manually override it
The Tax Rate is auto-populated from your account default
Click Save
Invoices are assigned reference numbers automatically (e.g., INV-1001).
Automatic invoice creation: When a project status is changed to Completed, Method automatically creates a draft invoice with the line items copied from the linked estimate.
On the mobile app:
Tap Invoices in the bottom navigation
Tap the + button
Fill in the details and tap Save
